Every third Friday, the friendly fellows of the Upton Men’s Club arrive in the new Upton Community and Senior Center kitchen ready to prepare a tasty meal for our town’s seniors. On December 15th, we wrapped up 2023’s dinners on a happy note by serving broccoli chicken ziti with a rich alfredo sauce for over 40 Upton senior residents. Our eager high school volunteers came ready to cheerfully serve every senior attendee. The dining hall buzzed with lively conversation and Christmas music as the students dished out piping hot helpings of nourishing food to their honored guests. The hearty main course, and festive gingerbread men with ice cream for dessert filled smiling faces as we enjoyed time together.

We’re already planning more happy community Fridays full of friendship in the new year! These meals nourish our souls and bring residents together. Sincere thanks to all our senior friends for making every dinner a delightful success. We look forward to more great food and fellowship when we meet again next! Every year for the first 3 Saturdays in December the Upton Mens Club rings the bell for the Salvation Army. Come by and see us at the Post Office, the Coffee Bean and Dunkin Donuts from 9 till Noon.  Thank you for your support!

Ho ho ho! The jolly folks at the Upton Men’s Club joyfully hosted our annual Santa’s Breakfast extravaganza at the Upton Fire Department HQ on December 3rd. Loads of smiling kids eagerly gobbled up yummy pancakes cheerfully cooked up by our merry Men’s Club. We felt fortunate that the one and only Santa Claus took time out of his busy schedule to meet the eager children and hear their Christmas wishes.

The excitement peaked when Santa reached his hand into the raffle barrel and pulled out the lucky ticket belonging to none other than Arthur Knowles! Congratulations Arthur on winning the grand prize ATV! The children’s eyes lit up to see Santa work his magic right before them.

We send a huge, heartfelt thanks to all the families of Upton who merrily supported this event, making it a smashing and festive success. The laughter of happy children enjoying Santa’s visit was a true Christmas gift to us all! We appreciate you spreading holiday cheer with the Upton Men’s Club and look forward to seeing your smiling faces again next year!
